XD Wireframe Comments

“You got a great start on this one! The app is very intuitive and your attention to all the navigation components made it really easy to navigate. Really liked the hamburger menu, forward and back arrows, and the header home screen button. Cool touch to make the search screen have a pop-up keyboard as well. Your hierarchy and font choices are really nice and make it easy to know what is what.
“There were a few things I saw that you might want to change.
- I know this is just a wireframe and you may be changing things for the HiFi model, but it might be nice to use the SNHU colors for the color scheme of the app.
- When scrolling on the pages I noticed the picture at the top was scrolling over your header info. Just a layering issue and easy to fix. Unless that’s how you intended it to be.
- Might be worthwhile to create a search results list page just to show what would happen after the search and give it a segway to specific location/ activity page.
- After you click on Hiking in the activities page it might also be nice to have a “hiking list” before you go to a specific activity. Just as a bridge between the two and in the case where there is more than one option.
- Might want to add a list off of your favorites button as well. I’m guessing the heart will be your button to add to favorites, so you already have that taken care of.”

“You did a good job at keeping this app simple and easy to use. Since many students are often in a hurry, this app will successfully tell them what they want to know in a short amount of time. I agree with Bryan’s comment on the hamburger menu on the left side of each page, as it effectively provides the user with the means to go from page-to-page quickly without having to spend time searching for it. The arrows are a good design choice as well
“When I clicked on the magnifying glass search icon and then clicked on the search bar to type, the screen jumped back to the previous page before showing the smartphone keyboard. The keyboard should be visible on the search page, where recommended searches will appear as the user starts typing. Also, make sure that when a user clicks on any of the four main categories (Places to Visit, Activities, Gear Stores/Rentals, and Contact Us) and then clicks the search icon, when they click the “X,” it should bring them back to the previous page and not the home page.
“Lastly, I agree with Bryan’s comment about the top of the page going missing as the user scrolls down the page. Unless this was intentional, you may want to fix this so that the scrolling animation looks smoother.”

“Great job on the app. It is very easy to navigate and know what each function does. The menus are legible, and the aesthetic is nice. If this is a SNHU app maybe change to the SNHU colors for the HiFi version? I also agree with the idea of a favorites button I think it will make it easier for users to see what they have selected prior. I also really like the drop-down menu as an addition.”
